![]() What I did not know was the extent of Cremo’s interest until I got an email from their Chief Marketing Officer, Jim Harrington, asking if I would like to meet the Road Trip crew during their stop in Houston (about 100 miles from me). I even helped test Cremo’s lathering shave cream when they were developing it. And I knew Cremo was at least aware of Sharpologist - Cremo’s CEO Matt Biggins and I have occasionally exchanged emails over the years. Some Background On Sharpologist’s Relationship With CremoĬremo shave cream has been on Sharpologist’s list of best shave creams since the article’s first edition in 2014: I think it’s one of the few good “mass market” brushless shave creams. I ended up working with them on a shaving video! I also got to meet some of the gang at West Coast Shaving…. I met them in Houston (covered on Sharpologist here and here) and it turned into a bit of a mutual-admiration society. It’s a shame they cracked down on cruising.Over this past summer the Cremo Company, makers of Cremo Shave Cream, took a 1947 travel trailer refurbished into a “mobile barber shop” across the country to promote Cremo products and also to raise awareness of men’s mental health issues. I replaced it with a 1968 302 that I rebuilt and added a nice Sig-Erson Performer Cam. ![]() The asshole had put 90 wt gear oil in her to keep the knocking silent. The original engine crapped out the same day I had bought it. The front end suspension was completely replaced, as well as all 4 brake cylinders and the master cylinder. New door panels and rear package tray were also installed. ![]() Interior seats were recovered and new carpeting installed. Cecil would have had my wait and block it longer, but I was anxious. With a clean surface to work on, I repaired the imperfections over 4 months and hit it with several coats of new primer. The multilayers of crap had to come off, so I stripped all paint off of it with industrial paint stripper and razor blades. In 2000 I started, and after taking two years of Auto-Body and Paint classes in Goldenwest College in Huntington Beach taught by Cecil Hernandez a master painter that has restored many of Jay Leno’s cars, I began my first project. This one had been repainted so many times before with crappy paint that I figured I better learn how to do it right myself.
